Weezer vs. Midnight Oil

On the Gwen Stefani vs. Weezer vs. Lita Ford post Peter points out the similarities of Weezer’s “Has Pipe” and Midnight Oil’s “Beds are Burning”:

Weezer lifted that riff from Midnight Oil’s 1987 song “Beds are Burning”.

    Check out at around 1:09 into Metallica’s “For Whom the Bell Tolls”.. it’s almost identical to weezer’s “hash pipe.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XX-KjkdDozQ
