Lady Gaga vs. Berlin

When I heard Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” I couldn’t quite figure out what the chorus was reminding me of.  It just came to me today – “Take My Breath Away” by Berlin. This is the main love song featured in the 1986 Tom Cruise film Top Gun. Not as dramatic as I thought when I eventually checked it out, but thought I would post it anyway.

Yeah, it was bugging me too for a while until I too thought of “Take My Breath Away”, (then I googled the two bringing me here!)

I kept hearing part of Paparazzi as used in an advertisement on the USA channel for an upcoming dog show, ( Westminster Kennel Club I think? – cute ad)

But your right, it’s just bits and pieces…

Hard to believe that Top Gun is almost 25 years old huh? The F14 Tomcats they flew are in mothballs.

I see rumors just about everywhere, that absolutely nothing in Drag queen Gaga is original and that she is really a copycat :-( I still adore Lady Gaga coZ she is awesome!
