<p>Ever since <a title="Oh My Rockness - New York City's Indie Rock Show List" href="http://www.ohmyrockness.com" target="_blank">Patrick</a> mentioned this to me it&#8217;s been driving me nuts. According to <a title="John Denver - Leaving on a Jet Plane on Wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leaving_on_a_Jet_Plane" target="_blank">Wikipedia</a> John Denver sued <a title="New Order on Wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Order" target="_blank">New Order</a> claiming that, &#8220;its wordless guitar break was based on his &#8216;Leaving on a Jet Plane&#8217;&#8221;. And later an out-of-court settlement, &#8220;ensured that the song would never be re-released in its original form&#8221;. I&#8217;ve listened to a few different versions of <a title="New Order - Run2 on Wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Run_2" target="_blank">Run2 </a>and all I can find is what I grabbed in this post. I either don&#8217;t have the correct original version or John Denver was smoking some really strong pot.</p>
