Vanilla Ice claimed that the bassline for his 1990 hit “Ice Ice Baby” was not a sample of Queen & David Bowie’s 1981 collaboration “Under Pressure“.

Wouldn’t have been a big deal if he had just said “Yeah, its a sample. So what? There’s lots of sampling in hip hop.”
I suppose he realized he would lose a lot of money if he admitted that.

so what exactly did that accomplish
bowie had actually considering suing a option depending or not if this made it as a big hit(which it didnt)
