The chorus of The Offspring‘s 1998 track sounds just like The Beatles‘ “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da”. Check it out!

Yep! this one has been known for awhile but very blatant by The Offspring.
When I’d first heard the offspring one I’d assumed it was a cover!
Offspring main tune of the song is heavily inspired by The Beatles’ song “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da”.
I’d say this sounds more like Simon & Garfunkel’s “Cecelia”.
offspring: rise and fall
green day: american idiot

this mix just makes it more obvious
Both songs feature a gender switch at the end, too.
The middle section of the Offspring song reminds me of the “I thought I was dreaming” part of Doris Troy’s “Just One Look.”
The Offspring’s song is a parody of The Beatles song, duh.
