Any more of these out there??

Jim points out the hook in Survivor‘s 1984 hit “I Can’t Hold Back”.  I included the beginning of the guitar solo at the end of the sample because it also incorporates the melody. Here’s all of them again!

    I first time I heard Lady Antebellum’s ‘Need You Now’ it totally reminded me of The Alan Parsons’ Project and ‘Eyes in the Sky’.

As much as I love Cat Stevens, Tear for Fears took the best part of the song and made something great.

    How about Britney Spears’s “Hold It Against Me” – its chorus sounds totally similar to the melody in these songs, particularly the first two.

      Thanks Benjy! A few other users pointed this similarity out as well. I’ve been meaning to post that. It also reminds me of Cutting Crew’s “(I Just) Died in Your Arms Tonight”):

      . Of course this is all no surprise considering the Spears track is yet another Dr. Luke creation. Look for my upcoming Dr. Luke post.
