Bon Jovi vs. The Decemberists vs. Tokio Hotel

Submitted by Jon

Check out the intro to The Decemberist‘s track “Margaret In Captivity”.
Sounds a lot like Bon Jovi‘s 1987 hit  “Wanted Dead Or Alive”.

The Decemberists - "Margaret in Captivity" (2009)

After Jon sent me this I remembered I wanted to post Tokio Hotel‘s “Don’t Jump” a while back.

The background music for all three songs do somewhat resemble each other. But the bon jovi and decemberists songs sounds more alike. Tokio hotel sounds more different….it has deeper stronger and slower beats compared to the first two. Don’t jump actually has a more catchier ‘in your face’ tune. Margaret in captivity is a great sound song to relax to.

Just wanted to mention that that Tokio Hotel song sounds MUCH, MUCH more like The Rasmus’ intro/riff from the song Not Like the Other Girls from their album Dead Letters.

    green day – whatshername
and lil wayne – hot revolver…
the main bass riff is pretty much the same thing..
ironically the first line of the lil wayne song is “do you have the time to listen to me whine” from green days basket case..

These song for me are not similar… skid row ones maybe a little, but sneke and jon are friends, so, no problem I think.
