English band The Coral released their popular track “Dreaming of You” in 2002. But some would say it closely resembles The Supremes “My World Is Empty Without You,” recorded back in 1965. Check out the clips below. Gloomy melodies, angsty lyrics, and everything you need for a great breakup song. They even have similar imagery:
“Inside this cold and empty house I dwell… My world is empty without you, babe.” (The Supremes)
“Up in my lonely room, when I’m dreaming of you… Oh what can I do? I still need you.” (The Coral)

Ehm,yes.That matches up.
These both remind me of Mother’s Little Helper by The Rolling Stones
I thought I was listening to “paint it black” initially.
