This completes my fun. trifecta. It was really fun [see “We Are Young” and “Some Nights“]. While listening to “Why Am I the One” (2012) by fun. I kept hearing 4 Non Blondes‘ hit song “What’s Up?” What’s up? Why am I the only one who hears these things? When I was young it was only on some nights (ok, that last one was terrible).
fun. - "Why Am I the One" (2012)
4 Non Blondes - "What's Up?" (1992)

these both sound like something else but i can’t place it right now…
but here’s one bugging me.
I can’t place it but damn i know its like something
You’re right, there’s definitely something in there that sounds like something in the chorus.
Intro sounds like Wake Me Up When September Ends by Green Day.
Piano sounds a little like MGMT – Time To Pretend.
Oh Keith,hows THIS
HA!
im just throwing these out there today it seems…
bee gees: words
richard harris:mccarthur park
faith hill featuring tim mcgraw:like we never loved at all

Woah. That’s a great one!
Joaquín Sabina – No puedo enamorarme de ti “I can’t fall in love with you” (?)
Bob Dylan – “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” (1973)
i THINK it was 2002 for No puedo enamorarme.
I’m kinda glad I came across this cover of “where were you last night” kinda saves the trouble of posting all the links when Tarja here saved me the trouble 🙂 listen from where im starting it and youll see what i mean
It sounds like the chorus from “Bright Lights” by Matchbox Twenty
Just about!
Don’t hear the 4 Non Blondes thing, it sounds more like ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight’
I could be a little off base but I think this elton song matches fun a bit(try to slow down fun or speed up elton)
How many posts has Travis made to this website?
A lot!!
The chorus of Why Am I the One more closely resembles that of “Didn’t I Do It Baby” by the Delfonics than the 4 Non Blondes Song, at least to my ears.
Mine too I totally agree.
I always thought the 4 None Blondes song ripped off the melody of Bobby McFerrins “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” http://youtu.be/yv-Fk1PwVeU
The main progression and verses remind me of the later Lady Gaga’s “You and I” ft. Brian May. Seriously, listen to it!
