This is an update to Jason Mraz vs. Jonas Brothers
I just heard Lenka‘s “The Show” on a Crate & Barrel commercial and noticed the similarity of the Jason Mraz and Jonas Brothers tracks I had up here. Check ’em out! I admit that the melodies are not spot on but worth a listen.
Jason Mraz - "I'm Yours" (April 15 2008)
Lenka - "The Show" (September 6 2008)
Jonas Brothers - "Introducing Me" (2010)

if you must listen to what its a blatant rip off of here it is
This is the ol’ I V VIm IV progression. Possibly the most common chord progression used in the past twenty years, so this list is a little brief. There are plenty of youtube videos of folks who sings a slew of songs without straying from this progression. If you decided to write a song with this chord progression, you’re making a deliberate choice to make a song that sounds like hundreds of others. Sorry Mraz, but I can’t spare too much sympathy when the original work is so trite to begin with
