Lukasz Gottwald (aka Dr. Luke) is making headlines this week as Ke$ha checks in to rehab for an eating disorder. Word is he has a history of verbal abuse. I’ll leave that news to the experts at People Magazine. A Ke$ha fan has even created an online petition called “Let Ke$ha have creative freedom“.
So let me take this opportunity to present a compilation of Dr. Luke produced tracks over the years and the songs that they sound like. Enjoy!
Dr. Luke (Lukasz Gottwald) has been racking up the hits in the last few years for artists like Katy Perry, Britney Spears and Ke$ha. He’s also been at the center of numerous copyright infringement cases. And of course made many appearances on ThatSongSoundsLike. I thought it might be interesting if I compiled a bunch together in one post. Enjoy!

take 2 at this…
3 doors down.. here without you
blackstone cherry: stay
florida georgia line: stay(remake)
Great post!
But the songs at the topic Pink vs. The Veronicas are switched…
OOPS! Thanks, just fixed that.
Another song similarity concerning Avril is the riff from I Always Get What I Want, which sounds like a Green Day riff.
And the ‘Hey Hey You You’s from the Avril Lavigne vs The Rubinoos is also in Get Off of My Cloud by The Rolling Stones (1965).
While I’m on the subject Shake Your Hips by The Rolling Stones (1972) and La Grange by ZZ Top (1973) have the same groove.
And Bottoms Up by Van Halen (1979).
While I’m on the subject, The Humphrey Bear theme song sounds like Could This Be Magic by Van Halen(1980), which in turn sounds like John St. Clair by John Lennon and that is probably based on a slide guitar melody.
And the riff from Drop Dead Legs (1984) sounds like Back in Black by AC/DC (1980).
Big Bad Moon by Joe Satriani (1989) also has the same groove as Shake Your Hips, La Grange and Bottoms Up.
One Direction vs. John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John
What Makes You Beautiful 2011
Summer Nights 1978
🙂
Got PLENTY of One Direction on the site: https://www.thatsongsoundslike.com/2013/12/17/10-one-direction-songs-that-sound-like-other-songs/

Kelly Clarkson vs. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, YES! I’ve always heard that similarity in the bridge, there’s no denying it.
Dr. Luke needs to eff off stealing other artists work! Has he even been sued yet!? God.
This stuff never ceases to amaze me.
Totally
for veronicas and pink
some would say this one fits
also produced by dr luke
and maybe even this
and maybe even this
This kpop song by Super Junior sounds like a 70s song, esp. the opening guitar and opening vocal ( “hey, hey, well). Any ideas?
