The Offspring does it again. I really thought I was listening to Muse when I first heard “Coming for You”. Check out the overall beat and bass line:
The Offspring - "Coming for You" (2015)
Muse - "Uprising" (2009)
Now to top it off, have a listen to the distinct little lick that closes out the choruses:
The Offspring - "Coming for You" (2015)
Muse - "Uprising" (2009)

This wouldn’t be the first time the Offspring have ripped off Muse. Compare the pre-chorus of the Offspring’s “You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid” (2008) with the chorus of Muse’s “Time Is Running Out” (2003).
On an unrelated note, am I the only one who thinks that the instrumental part of Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” sounds a lot like that of Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On”? Especially since Sheeran is already a two-time offender on this site.
ya even got pics of em with pretty much the same hair style lol
as we all know.. offspring have a ton of similarities that would prolly crash the site if all were posted..
haven’t heard one this obvious though for a bit lol..
That drumbeat is very Black Keys – Howlin’ For You/Gary Numan – Rock and Roll Part 1 And 2 like for The Offspring.
Exactly what I was hearing.
THe only similarity here is the drum beat, which you guys nailed as Black Keyes. Is this site run by a bunch of tone deaf jack asses?
Just me
Also– is it me, or was one of Muse’s big influences Brian Eno-era Ultravox?
Another similar song like Uprising is I Don’t Care by Fall Out Boy
That guitar riff in “I Don’t Care” sounds so much like something else.
Sorry if I’m too late but would it be Depeche Mode – Personal Jesus?
Listening to the intro of Uprising it does have similarities to The Crunch by The Rah Band. Besides the intro they are not that similar
The intro is IDENTICAL, you’re right
they’re both just riffing on moroder/blondie’s ‘call me’
It’s literally just the intro??? 🤣Big deal….Offspring sounds way better IMO and its way more of a vibe. All music is so similar these days just look at any type of club music… All basically has the same beat for it’s different genres
