I was curious about this one because Avicii‘s “Wake Me Up” is such a huge hit. I definitely hear the similarity in Sandé‘s vocal line. Then I noticed a YouTube comment that pointed to Toto‘s 1979 track. Check ’em out!
Avicii - "Wake Me Up" (2013)
Emeli Sandé - "Next To Me" (2012)
Toto - "St. George and the Dragon" (1979)
Back in 2011 Avicii took X Factor star Leona Lewis to court. Anyone know what happened with this?
