I just heard Lenka‘s “The Show” on a Crate & Barrel commercial and noticed the similarity of the Jason Mraz and Jonas Brothers tracks I had up here. Check ’em out! I admit that the melodies are not spot on but worth a listen.

The last time we saw Jonas Brothers on here it was for their song “Introducing Me” (2010) and it sounded a lot like Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours”. [ https://www.thatsongsoundslike.com/2010/12/01/jason-mraz-vs-jonas-brother ]

I don’t know how Travis finds all of these but here is Jonas Brothers “Australia” (2007) with Australian Christian Rock outfit Hillsong United‘s “From God Above” (2006).

Wait! Australian rock band? A song called “Australia”. What the??!!!

Jason Mraz recently slammed the Jonas Brothers camp for it’s similarity of his 2008 hit “I’m Yours”.

“That happened without even knowing! We had the song and it didn’t have the ‘My Wicked Heart’ bit in it and then we put the vocal in and we were like, ‘Why does it sound so familiar?’.”
“Then we realised it was because we were listening to ‘Under The Bridge’ the day before! We were saying, ‘Should we change it? Should we not? What should we do?’. Sod it, no, we’re just gonna keep it, it works, it’s the way it is.”

“I heard the song, and it was just a tremendous, tremendous horror of a tune. I noticed a few similarities in the melody, but it wasn’t enough to pick up the phone and argue with somebody about it. If anything, I just wanted my $1.29 back that I spent on iTunes” – PopEater.com
