This is an unexpected turn of events here at ThatSongSoundsLike. It seems that for once our pal Dr. Luke might have influenced another artist instead of the other way around. Check out Tiësto‘s “Red Lights”. You’ll immediately hear the similarity in the verse of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” (2010).
Bryant pointed out on Facebook that Flo Rida‘s 2011 “Who Dat Girl” sounds a lot like Kesha’s “Tik Tok” and Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” (both of which have appeared on this site before). I’m not sure how I didn’t catch this one before. Maybe I just thought it was the same song 🙂 . By the way, all three of these tracks are produced by … drum roll please…

It’s been too long since posting about a Dr. Luke produced song so here we are. Check out Katy Perry‘s recently released track “Roar” and Sara Bareilles track “Brave”. Even the lyrics are pretty similar. Since Jack Antonoff from the band Fun co-wrote “Brave” I’m going to add “We Are Young” (2011) here as well since you can hear the clear inspiration.
