The Killers vs. Boys Like Girls

Wow. I don’t know how Boys Like Girls is getting away with this one. The chorus of their recently released track “Love Drunk” sounds just like The Killers‘ 2004 dance floor jam “Somebody Told Me”.  Have a listen:

The Killers - "Somebody Told Me" (2004)

Boys Like Girls - "Love Drunk" (2009)

This was sent in by Brian in Miami and Gigi.

Green Day vs. Motley Crue vs. Bryan Adams

This one was suggested by Phil who points out Green Day‘s epic track “Jesus of Suburbia” and its similarity to Motley Crue’s 1983 “On With the Show”.

Motley Crue - "On With the Show" (1983)
Green Day - "Jesus of Suburbia" (2004)

After giving a listen to “Jesus” I couldn’t help notice the similarity to Bryan Adams‘ classic jam “Summer of ’69”.

Green Day - "Jesus of Suburbia" (2004)
Bryan Adams - "Summer of 69" (1984)

Led Zeppelin vs. Chicago vs. Green Day vs. The White Stripes

Led Zeppelin keeps popping up here. They’re either sounding like someone else or others are sounding like them. Check out some of the history of “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You“.

Led Zeppelin - "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" (1969)

And now check these out!

Chicago - "25 or 6 to 4" (1970)
Green Day - "Brain Stew/Jaded" (1995)
White Stripes - "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground" (2001)
