Whitney Houston vs. X-Men Theme

Submitted by Patrick

Here’s another great Theme Song comparison. Check out the intro and chorus of Whitney Houston‘s 1990 “I’m Your Baby” and the theme song from the X-Men cartoon theme written by Ron Wasserman. I’m not entirely sure if this is the 1992 version of the theme or not.

Being a HUGe fan of all cartoons from the 90s (on Fox), i can say 2 things:

1 – they do sound creepily similar
    2 – that is the ’92 theme

Good god! I have always thought that!! My sister was/ is a huge Whitney fan and every time that song played i imagined Storm flying down with rapid fire lighting blasts from her hands!
    Mad Props. MAD.PROPS.

Haha. Thanks! I love the TV show to Pop song comparisons. Especially if it’s a cartoon.

Both my brother and I thought they sounded similar, too. Thanks for the ID on the pop song (we’re not into pop…)

The first time I saw the X-Men cartoon when I was a kid, I IMMEDIATELY thought the theme song sounded like Whitney! I never said it out loud to anybody, but I always thought it. Glad to see I’m not alone.
