No.. It’s IS the same tune.. but Black Eyed Peas actually stole it from another song, and not from Snow Patrol.. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7drHJ71rIw): Bryan Pringle did this song in 1999 and never showed it to the public until now, because he is suing the BEP and wanted to proof it. Many people find it suspicious because the 1999 song ‘suddenly’ appeared on youtube in 2009 for the first time, but the truth is because Pringle didn’t wanted to show off his song to anyone until he got a contract with a Music Studio, he was afraid someone would steal it..

But what I really wanted to say here was… Did Snow Patrol actually steal the same song too? I mean, Bryan Pringle’s song was indeed unknown for the rest of the world, but he sent it to several recording studios during 10 years, but the studios confessed that they did get a copy of his song, but none of them had interest in making him an artist. Did that song reach Snow Patrol’s studio?

As Snow Patrol don’t own their own recording company, I doubt it would have reached them, if it reached their studio, it probably would have gone straight in the bin after a listen or two by whoever is responsible for that.

BEP, like other Hip Hop bands sample others, but I get the impression by the way people talk that BEP doesn’t go through the proper procedure.
