Is that Coldplay “Clocks” coming on the stereo? No, wait! Who’s that girl singing? Is this a remix? No, wait! It’s David Guetta‘s “When Love Takes Over” (Feat. Kelly Rowland). Have a listen. It’s …. similar …

Lady Gaga vs. Ace Of Base
Lady Gaga just keeps putting out the hits. Somebody on her team must be doing their mega hit research. One of Gaga’s latest singles “Alejandro” (2010 2009) bears a striking resmblance to the 90’s Ace of Base hit “Don’t Turn Around”. I just discovered via Wikipedia that Tina Turner recorded the first version of “Don’t Turn Around” in 1986. Most of us are probably familiar with the 1994 Ace of Base version as heard below.

Kesha vs. Kylie Minogue
Great find by Caroline.
You’ve probably heard Kesha‘s (aka Ke$ha) “Tik Tok” at least once a day for the past six months in a shopping mall, on the radio, at the gym or on your iPod. You might have thought to yourself, “Hm. This sounds like a song from like seven or eight years ago” and you’re right! Check out Kylie Minogue‘s 2002 track “Love At First Sight”.
